When I was a kid I wanted nothing more than to be on 'Let's Make a Deal.' I had only seen one or two of them but I thought it was so cool you could wear costumes and get on TV. At one point I had the opportunity to sit in the audience of a cheaper version of 'Let's Make a Deal' that aired on late night cable – local access or something. As the host wandered through the audience looking for participants, it dawned on me that if I was picked, I would actually get on TV! A whole five people might actually see me! So of course, I sat there, eyes down, silently saying "Not me, not me, not me..." and he passed on by. But the allure of the game show, especially being a big game show winner – of the Ken Jennings variety - is still strong, although now I'm not so much interested in the glorified costume contest version.
