Any real Star Wars fan worth his weight in Wookie fur can tell you about the scene in 'A New Hope' where the Stormtrooper walks smack into the wall. It's obtained movie urban legend status. But I was shocked to find out there are more than 199 other mistakes in the movie.
Granted, some of them take an eagle eye to spot but some of them are obvious enough that you have to wonder what George Lucas was thinking -- and haven't we all wondered that on occasion given the new trilogy. Ahh George... somewhere along the way to get power converters from Toshi Station, you got lost. Most of the mistakes in 'Star Wars' can be forgiven because, at the time, there were no billon dollar budgets, especially for sci-fi flicks. But upon further research, there are quite a few hilarious and head-slapping mistakes in movies from all genres and all budgets. 'Terminator 2,' 'The Lion King,' 'Batman Returns,' 'James Bond'... These weren't small budget flicks. What's their excuse? Or do they leave mistakes in on purpose just to give me something to watch and laugh about while at work?
